Walked Beside You is a heartfelt letter of apology wrapped in warm electric piano chords, a smooth bassline, and a laid-back drum groove.

Recording the song:

I love the warm electric piano chords of classic soul artists like Bill Withers, so this is my interpretation of that kind of vibe. The drums were recorded by Joe Montague, who plays with great groove and respect for the song, using vintage drums, mics and outboard gear to produce a rich, retro yet modern sound.
